Mindy Indy is a Brooklyn-based cartoonist, illustrator, and writer best known for her sci-fi comic series AER HEAD, which follows a surfer navigating the future through visions. Her work fuses traditional and digital media, often layering hand-drawn images with watercolor landscapes and atmospheric digital effects. Influenced by anime and manga — particularly the nostalgic character designs of Leiji Matsumoto (Interstella 5555) and the humor of Rumiko Takahashi — Mindy creates comics that feel expressive, immersive, and animated on the page. She self-publishes her work through Kickstarter and Patreon, and has exhibited at major comic conventions across the U.S., including Comic-Con International (San Diego), SPX, and MoCCA Arts Fest. Outside of comics, Mindy teaches cartooning, sketches portraits at events, and illustrates children's books. "Storyboard to Stars" marks her first solo gallery exhibition, where she has had an Opening Reception, Draw Jam, Artist Talk, and will have a Comics Roundtable with Dean Haspiel and Bill Roundy Wed Aug 6, and Closing Reception Fri Aug 15.
